Hand Arm Vibration Calculator
Our Hand Arm Vibration Exposure Calculator is FREE to use on-line and can calculate the vibration levels of up to five tools or processes at once. If you need to calculate the vibration levels of more than five tools, simply use the reset button at the bottom of the calculator to clear the results and start again.

How To Use The Hand Arm Vibration Calculator
Calculating exposure points per hour, time to reach EAV and time to reach ELV
Enter the vibration magnitude for each tool or process in the vibration magnitude column. The calculator will automatically work out the exposure points per hour, time to reach EAV and time to reach ELV.
Where can you get the Vibration Magnitude from?
The Vibration Magnitude or (m/s²) figure can be obtained from either sending your tools into Power Tool Sales
Manufactures Vibration Values
Some manufacturers provide vibration data on their tools. However, caution must be taken as these values may not be fully representative of the results you may get when using the tool in the work-place. In most circumstances they are significantly lower than work-place values. This is due to different processes, applications, accessories used with the tool and how the individual operator uses the tool. Calculating partial and total exposure
Ensure you have inputted the vibration magnitudes for each tool or process
Enter the exposure duration for each tool or process. The Exposure duration is the total daily vibration contact time or “trigger time” for each Tool or process. It may be expressed in any combination of hours and/or minutes. Please note this must not exceed 24 hours.
